Jennifer Moore-Kucera received her B.A. in Biology and Environmental Studies from Binghamton University (SUNY Binghamton), her M.S. in Soil Science from Iowa State University, and her Ph.D. in Soil Science from Oregon State University.
Dr. Moore-Kucera will teach courses in soil science and soil and environmental microbiology, and lead a research program. Her approach to research is interdisciplinary, combining traditional and novel techniques in soil science, microbial ecology, and biogeochemistry. Research interests center on microbial transformations of soil C and N as impacted by management decisions and potential feedbacks on plant growth, productivity and air and water quality.
