Personal Information:
Dr. Richard Zartman received his B.S. degree from the Ohio State University in Agronomy in 1968. He earned a Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky in 1974 in Soil Physics with a minor in math. He joined the Texas Tech faculty in 1974 and is currently the Department Chair and Leidigh Professor of Soil Physics.
Research Interests:
Dr. Richard Zartman’s current research funded by the Department of Defense is determining the fate of the bioterrorist agent ricin in the natural and human modified environments. His current research funded by the Department of Agriculture is evaluating the infiltration and distribution of water in playa lake ecosystems.
